hi DPrincess28 i recently started my transitioning process and i was wondering how often should i wash my hair in one week? . i am from the Caribbean and it is ridiculously hot & i tend to wet my hair sometimes 3 to 4 times a week is that healthy for hair ?
U give some excellent tips keep up the good work !!!

@Candycane: You don't want to dry out your hair. Why not shampoo the hair once a week and do a co-wash and or a rinse in between as needed?

Hey dprincess. i recently started watching your videos. you have inspired me to go natural . So its been two months since i havent goten a perm .I am deciding to do the long term transition . I NEED HELP! How long do you think i should go before cutting the perm ends off? Im only 17 , and no one in my family is natural. We all HAVE PERMS . So i am willing to make the first step , and inspire the others.

I am reminiscing today……I had to watch this video again today. I remember when I first watched it in 09 before I ever even considered going natural. I remember what I was thinking the day I watched this…I was thinking “I could never go natural, its just not for me, I won’t look right”. I had different reasons/excuses I remember feeling stubborn and very closed off to the idea. By the end of that year though I was so desperate to improve my hair health I stopped getting perms, not really with a long term plan to be natural though. I was frustrated and didn’t know what my next step was going to be to improve my hair health and worse of all I had a humongous fear that my hair was never going to grow back and return to its once healthy state years ago. Anyway fast forward 2 ½ years later and I am loving my natural hair. So many things you say in this video is true, I have noticed the definite change in my curl pattern as my hair has grown out and it seems to behave a lot better than it has in a long time. I feel like it’s taken this long just to get a good grasp on my hair’s likes/dislikes. Natural hair is a journey that’s very much worth the challenge! I’m just happy at how far I’ve come emotionally and mentally along w/ my hair success. Maybe you can do an entry on what you would do differently knowing what you now know regarding transitioning for other new naturals. I know I would have done quite a few things differently! Oh well! Anyway I do consider you my inspiration for going natural even if I wasn't fully convinced at first!
