Product Haul
I went shopping at Sally's the other day to pick up a few things. For the most part we have the usual suspects, but there is one product in particular that I am slowly falling in love with...
#1. ORS Replenishing Pak
Yes ladies, I know they sell this in a large container, thanks to those of you who emailed me to make me aware of this fact :-). Yet, I only do a moisturizing deep conditioning treatment once a month, and I like to switch them up. Thus, sometimes I'll use this, sometimes I'll use EVOO, or sometimes I'll use a moisturizing conditioner by other brands such as Fantasia IC or Silk Elements. Plus, I love the fact that these tiny packs don't take up a lot of space. At $1.29 a pop, this moisturizing deep conditioning product does the trick, then I'm good to go for another 30 days!
#2. ApHogee Keratin 2 Minute Reconstructor
I normally buy the bottle, but opted to simply get the packet because money is tight and this one packet, which is actually two applications in one, will get me through two months at just $2.69.
#3. Extra Lite Super Gro by Bronner Bros.
After experimenting with other oils, I realized how much I miss this one. It's so lightweight and great for braidouts. Sally's carries it for $3.49.
#4. Isoplus Styling Gel (Pre-Conditioning Light)
This is my favorite gel, and Sally's carries 8 oz jars for just $1.89.
#5. Hawaiian Silky Miracle Worker 14-in-1
This is quickly becoming my favorite curly-haired product! I've been using this daily to tame my natural curls, and so far, so good. I plan to do a post on it shortly…and possibly even a video so that you guys can see how I use it to style my hair.
That's it for now!

Wow you and I must have been thinking the same thing, as I mentioned before I brought the Aphogee 2 min (small pack) and the Olive Oil Replenishing Pak, I haven't used it yet. I purchased the small ones because I just wanted to test them first.
I had been using the Bronner Bros extra lite supergro oil...and it appeared to be working well for my hair...but after doing tons of research I found out that apparently for ethnic hair it is a bad idea to put any products that contain petrolatum in the hair because it only coats the locks and gives it a faux sense of moisture, but actually prevents moisture from getting into the hair...do you know if this is true or not? I am transitioning (about 2 or 3 inches of my hair is still perm) and stopped using it because I did not want it to have a bad effect on my hair in the long run {since it seemed to be working fine}.
I will definitely have to try the deep conditioner treatment. I just started using the Hawaiian silky product and I love it! I cannot believe how it defines the curls. Def one of my favorites now.
I haven't tried Hawaiian Silky but I keep hearing great things about it. So, I'm going to add it to the list of things to try. Also, The ORS replenish pak is a haven for my hair, I love it! Smells great too!
