Radiant Skin Moisturizing Lotion

If you like Aveeno's Radiant Skin Daily Moisturizer with SPF 15, then you should try Target's Up & Up brand of Radiant Skin Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 15. Now you know I love me some Aveeno, but now that we're in a recession, finding a more affordable option is definitely in my best interest. I was therefore thrilled when I saw that Target carries a similar product for $10.49, compared to Aveeno's lotion that runs from $14.99 to $16.49, depending on where it's sold. Thus, you can save a good $5.00 purchasing the generic brand.

The key to determining whether or not a generic product is comparable to a brand name one is to compare the ingredients. As long as the active ingredients are the same, and the first five inactive ingredients are the same, then chances are the only difference is the brand and packaging. I've been using the Up & UP brand for the past few days, and so far, so good!

I bought this generic a few months back and I noticed that it had a thicker consistency then Aveeno and did not absorb as well. I did use the whole bottle but with a little bit of water to thin it out. Needless to say after it was gone I went back to Aveeno.

Simcha, you're right: I've also noticed that it is thicker. Yet, I don't mind because I have to double up on the Aveeno brand, but one coat of this stuff seems to provide the right amount of moisture my skin needs, because it tends to get dry in certain areas.
