Renpure: A Sulfate-Free Shampoo

A while back I mentioned how I had finally decided to try a sulfate-free cleanser. My experimentation began with the Hair One cleanser. After finishing off that bottle, I then moved on to a different brand, Renpure Organics.

I actually tried Renpure by accident, as I thought I was purchasing the Organix line of sulfate-free cleansers. Needless to say, I've been using sulfate-free cleansers for the past six months or so, and so far, I'm digging them.

"My pretty hair is parched" is the Renpure variety I've been using, and it makes the following claims:
  • This formula uses Pomegranate, Papaya & Olive Leaf to help restore & moisturize dry hair
  • It also contains Silk Protein which is used to repair damage and Olive Leaf Extracts which are used to smooth and repair split ends
  • Renpure Organics uses 100% certified organic extracts and safe, fresh, natural ingredients. Color safe formula
  • NO sulfates, parabens, dyes, gluten, phthalates or propylene glycol
One thing I can say about Renpure in comparison to Hair One is that its conditioner provides better slippage. I loved how Hair One made my scalp tingle, and my hair feel soft and moisturized. However, it didn't work well as a detangler. Sometimes the two-in-one formulas are like that. I therefore appreciate the fact that Renpure has a separate shampoo and conditioner. I also love the way Renpure's "My pretty hair is parched," variety smells! However, I wouldn't recommend it to those who are sensitive to scents, because the fragrance is pretty strong.

Although I haven't yet settled on a sulfate-free cleanser, I am liking Renpure. It doesn't strip my hair like regular shampoos, and therefore keeps my curls feeling nice and soft. It's also a bit cheaper than some of the other sulfate-free cleansers on the market, as it retails for about $7.00 at CVS. For more info on the Renpure line of cleansers, visit www.renpure.com.

I'll have to try this one. I love, love, love WEN, but it is too expensive to use on a regular basis. I did not like hair one at all. Maybe this will be the one
