If you recall from previous posts/videos, Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding is one of my favorite curly hair products. I fell in love with this bad boy when I first sampled it back in 2010 (See Miss Jessie's Curly Pudding Is..). However, I don't purchase it often because SHAZAM, the price is outrageous!

Well, well, well, it's time to pull another natural hair tale out of the archives. Two years ago, a beautiful young diva named Dominique-Alexis submitted her natural hair tale to Protecting Your Crown & Glory. The celebrity locks I'm currently admiring: Kelis. Her milkshake may bring all the boys to the yard, and it's been said that she can be a bit bossy, but one thing is certain: her style is off the chain! I can't believe that in all the years I've been blogging, I have yet to feature this sassy songstress! I think it's pretty safe to say that Kelis is all natural, given the texture of her hair. Those of us who are natural understand and appreciate the versatility natural hair affords, and this diva definitely knows how to switch things up. Her style, cuts and colors range from totally tame, to completely insane, but I'll let you be the judge about which is which.

Waist Length Journey: April 2013 Update

Well, well, well. I'm now one year and six months into my waist length journey, and although I've come a long way, I still got a ways to go! Luckily, my hair is in pretty good condition, and although I've said it before, I'll say it again: healthy hair is more important than long hair. Thus, I believe that as long as I continue to follow a healthy hair regimen, my goals will eventually be achieved. So now, without further ado, here is my official length update for 2013:

As you know, I recently purchased a new makeup palette by NYX called the All I've Ever Wanted Box, and let me tell you, it is all I've ever wanted! With a variety of eyeshadow shades, blushers, lippies and face powders, the options are limitless! Today I'd like to share a look I created using bright orange, tangerine and gold colors from the palette, one I've dubbed "Peachy Keen."

Whether you have just started your natural hair journey or have been on one for some time now, we'd love to hear from you. Your story can help those contemplating a slow transition or the big chop solidify their decision.
