Diet

Pump up the volume without pumping up the calories

A lot of people think you have to starve yourself to lose weight, but that's not true. Eating actually helps boost your metabolism, for the body has to work just to digest all that it's taking in. Of course, we have to be mindful of the amount of food we eat, but there is a simple way we can cut calories without cutting out the bulk.

Eating salads, soup, and or fruit prior to a meal or with your meals can help you feel satisfied without adding a lot of calories to your daily total. In fact, it's been found that those who munch on salads prior to the main course consume 12% less calories than those who don't. Just make sure that you're not bogging your salad down with fattening extras like creamy dressings and or greasy croutons.

That's it for my diet tip of the day!
