Products On my Radar

This recession has definitely cured me of my shopaholic ways! I haven't racked up on half the stuff I want because I'm actually trying to be responsible for once. However, I definitely have some hair care products on my radar that I plan to purchase once I get out of this financial slump. I thought I'd share some of them with you ladies. Perhaps you've already tried some of these and can let me know what your take is on them.

Item #1: Manic Panic Semi-Permanent Hair Color Cream

Okay, so y'all know I'm a red copper girl. I tried dying my hair with the Jazzing semi-permanent hair color in a previous post, and the results weren't anything to shout about. I do realize that I need to use a permanent dye to get the color I want prior to using a semi-permanent, for they really are only good for spicing up previously lightened locs. However, because I'm trying to abstain from permanent dye for a while, I'm still searching for that perfect semi-permanent color that will give me jaw-dropping results. So, when I get some dough, I wanna try this Vampire Red color by Manic Panic. Here are some of the specs on the product:

Color: Vampire Red
Price online @ www.Sallybeauty.com: $8.49
Price with Sally's Beauty Club Card: $7.99
Product Description as seen on www.sallybeauty.com:
-Ready to use, no mixing required
-8 vibrant, electric colors to choose from
-Gives highlights to darker hair
-Fades gradually with each shampoo
-Fortified with an herbal and protein complex
-Not recommended for people with 10% or more white hair

If you're ready to make a serious commitment (a four to six week commitment) to having fabulously colorful hair, then Manic Panic Hair Color is for you. Expereinced "dyehards" have said that nothing works like Manic Panic Semi-Permanent Hair Color Cream.

Oh, and for you gals who are so focused on the ingredients in your products, you'll love this:

Manic Panic uses superior ingredients that are guaranteed vegan and contains no animal ingredients. You have come to the right place for the richest, boldest, brightest, not to mention punkiest hair color on the planet. Plus Manic Panic is tested on celebrities not animals.

Item#2: One 'n Only Ceramic Silk Curling Iron Glaze

I've been looking for a spray that will not only protect my hair from heat, but also help hold my curls in place. I often use the shampoo and conditioner from the One 'n Only line of hair products prior to flat ironing. I really like the way they help prepare my hair for heat and keep the color in my hair vibrant. When I get some discretionary income, I'm gonna purchase some more products from the One 'n Only line of hair care products, and the curling iron glaze is definitely on my radar. Here are the specs:

Item #3: Curling Custard by Kinky Curly

I'm sure most of you ladies have heard about this product that claims to give amazing definition to natural curls. I've watched a few ladies do tutorials demonstrating the transformative effect this product can have on lifeless curls. I'm not too keen on the price, for I am a frugal kinda gal, but I've heard so many great things about this product that I know I'm going to have to break down and try it at least once. Here are the specs as provided on the Kinky Curly website (www.kinky-curly.com):

Hi,

I have the Manic Panic but I've never used it. I do however, love Beyond the Zone's semi-permanent color which can also be found at Sally's. Lately I've been using Raspberry Kamakaze, I've also used the red one (can't think of the name now.
And, the Silk Ceramics heat protectant is also pretty good from what I remember, I used my whole bottle so I guess I like it a lot.

Glad to see you back, can't wait for the videos.
