Parents always want to talk about how God commands that children "Honor thy mother and thy father," but the Bible also gives instruction on what parents should do for their children:
"Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord." Ephesians 6:4 (NIV)
