New Product to Test Out: Silk 'N Curl Styling Curl Activating Crème Gel by Smooth 'N Shine Polishing

If you've been following my YouTube channel or my blog, then you know that I pretty much have my product staples. However, I'm feeling a little adventurous right now, so when I ran across this Silk 'n Curl Styling Curl Activating Crème Gel while perusing the hair care aisle at Target, I had to buy it! Below is a photo of the product and a description as printed on the back of the bottle:

It's all about silk! Silk 'n Curl Crème Gel is a silk protein therapy formulated with silk amino acids and conditioning polymers, created to offer the moisturizing benefits of a crème and the strong holding power of a gel…a winning combination for perfecting curly styles. Shapes and defines your natural curl pattern, so curls are frizz-free, in control, and look their silky best!

Directions: Apply evenly to towel dried hair, and style as desired. Perfect for re-styling.

The line: "…created to offer the moisturizing benefits of a crème and the strong holding power of a gel," is what caught my eye. I combine my Bronner Bros hair grease and curl activator gel by Worlds of Curls for the same effect, so if I can eliminate two products for one great one, then I'm down. The best part is that an 8.5 FL OZ bottle only cost me $3.25, so if this product does what it says it does, then it will save me a lot of hassle and money in the long run.

I'll be testing this product out and posting a review on it soon, so stay tuned…

hey it's a really good product. It works well on my natural hair, but since I'm transitioning it doesn't curl my relaxed hair as well. Hope it works for you!!

Hey D Princess,
I used to use that product last summer and fall. It works OK. It did give me better curl def than just using a oil or moisturizer. Let us know what you think of it..!! Keep up your vids, I love them.
