Hair Rant: My Hair Woes Update #3

On March 31, I cut off approximately two inches of heat-damaged ends. This is just another stepping stone in my quest for 100% healthy, natural curls. I've been doing my protein and deep conditioning treatments, and staying on top of my regular trims. I've also been abstaining from heat. All of these things have contributed to the improved condition of my hair. I just thought I'd accelerate that progress by ridding myself of some of the damage. As long as I maintain my healthy hair care regimen, the length will return in no time, and my hair will be 100% damage free!

Below is a short video in which I share the results of my cut. Following that are pictures of the finished product. Enjoy!

So, this is what my hair looks like curly. As you can see, the left side is suffering from heat damage more than the right side.

I wanted to stretch out my shrunken curls so you can see how it will match up with the left side when straightened.

The difference is not dramatic at all!! You are doing a good job with controling your urge to use heat. Thanks for the update.

it looks nice!! I like that shape looks so healthy and your curls are even more defined. I also wanted to know what to ment that you do protein often, do you use products that contain it? if so what do you use? Hit me up at http://fabbzee.blogspot.com/

Hey Fabbzee,

I was referring to my Aphogee 2 minute reconstructor.

Hi DPrincess28,
Sorry to hear about the heat damage. You're hair is still beautiful. Do you think by chance certain flat irons damage hair? Could you recommend a good flat iron? I'll pay a hefty price =)
