High School Musical star Monique Coleman recently debuted a new look, and it's all natural, baby! She has ditched the weaves and wigs to sport her naturally curly fro…and I'm so loving it!
IT'S SO CUTE!!!! I think she looks better with her natural hair... she still looks good with the weaves and all but with her natural hair she looks great!!!
Wow, seems like we have mixed reviews! Either way, I'm glad she had the courage to step out like that. If you think it's hard wearing a fro in public, try stepping out in one in Hollywood, where all the euro-centric ideals are perpetuated.
I think this is absolutely beautiful and positive. We need more natural hair in the media. Having gone reluctantly natural at 13(because of damage from perms,it was difficult when the women who were my pop culture idols had wigs,weaves and perms.
At 16 I have come to love my natural kinky curly hair for what it is and simply that.(I've also picked up new idols a la Lauryn Hill and Erica Badu)

I don't like the fro. It may just be my preference. I like natural hair just more polished.
