Would You Rather?

Hey divas,

I was just thinking about the fabulous ladies on the Real Housewives series. I know Deshawn got booted from the Real Housewives of ATL for not being "entertaining enough," but I couldn't help but think about how luxurious her lifestyle is, for she has a makeup artist and hairstylist visit her home everyday to help her get ready. I was also thinking about Oprah and other celebs who have glam squads on call to help them get diva-fied. This led me to ponder the following question: Would I rather have a hairstylist, makeup artist, or personal trainer at my disposal?

I think if I had to choose between the three, I'd pick the hairstylist. Why? Because as much as I'd like to get in tip top shape, I think a personal trainer would get on my nerves. I can't help but picture someone like Harvey from Celebrity Fit Club, barking at me about how I need to "Get off my butt and do it!" That, I could definitely do without. Now, as for the makeup artist and hairstylist, that was a tough one, because as much as I'd love to see how someone like the late, great Kevyn Aucoin could transform my face into something spectacular, I think getting a scalp massage would really make my day. Plus, if I had a professional hairstylist on hand, I wouldn't have to wrack my brain for new hairstyles to wear, for they would already know how to make me look fierce!

So ladies, what would you rather have? A professional hairstylist, a makeup artist, or a personal trainer at your disposal?

XOXO,

I would choose the hairstylist. I am a long time salon girl and I would love to have someone pamper my head. I love having the ability to use my creativity and love playing in my hair now but if I had the opportunity I would most definitely let someone else do it. My stylist became my best friend over the last 10 years. I still keep in touch with her (just in case) but I haven's seen her as I don't want to put myself in a tempting situation to revert back to relaxed. But I do know she is very supportive of my decision.

I'd have to agree with the hairstylist, especially during the summer! Actually, if I could have a hairstylist that would come for the summer months, I would be psyched! I'm learning the no-flat-iron natural-curls routine but it's always nice to have someone else deal with it. I'd go swimming and when I'm done go straight to her! Lol

Although the personal trainer is tempting and I really do need someone to light a fire under my butt to get me motivated to lose this weight, I would have to say hairstylist. I never know what to do to my hair with my hair being cheek length there isn't much to do with it, and I'm not into the curyly short fro look on my self with these fat cheeks. LOL So I would love to have a hairstylist come to my house and hook up my hair so I can feel so much better about myself. :-) And WTF? did they really Kick Deshawn off? She was my favorite because she was so sweet and not full of drama. And I love her relationship with the other girls, I think she keeps them in line when they get way out of hand. They should get rid of Kim, or better yet get her a stylist. Because lord knows she needs it. Lying about having cancer....don't get me started. LOL

I would rather have the professional stylist. I visit the salon every 2 weeks and have to fight for an appointment to fit around my schedule. On top of that I end up waiting 30mins before anyone even touches my hair. I spend a good 3hours at the salon, having someone tend to my every need in my own home would be a dream come true lol

Avillacorta, your comment had me cracking up! She wasn't bringing enough drama to the show, which is why she got the boot. I agree about kim...

So, it looks like most of us want to get our hair did. I can dig that, LOL!

Hi Everyone!

I would love the personal hair stylist as well. Since I've started my relaxer stretch, I have a 'love/hate' relaiotnship with my hair come wash day. I love the way it looks and feels when it's all done but not the process to get there. One of the best feelings in the world is sitting back and having someone shampoo your hair and massage your scalp! Very relaxing. . .Oh and I know this wasn't one of the choices but can a sista throw in a personal chef as well?? LOL

Ooh, that personal chef one is dangerous, 'cause I'd be asking for all my favs on the daily, LOL!

Yeah, that's it! A personal chef! The chef can cook foods that won't sit on your hips, (eliminate personal trainer). The chef can cook foods that won't break out your skin (eliminate makeup artist-you won't need to hide under makeup). The chef can cook things.......well, while he is doing all that cooking, surely you can find time to do your own darn hair!!
Just playin' yall. Peace

Definitely the hairstylist, I love getting pampered and the feel of someone else washing my hair, it is very relaxing! Don't let me get under that dryer, I will go right to sleep! That is the best sleep in the world! LOL!

Oooo I don't know ya..! I think I have to go with the personal trainer. Shoot! I need to be tight b4 it starts to heat up out here in Cali. I'm not down with someone shouting at me while my legs are quivering and I'm panting like a dog but hey if that's what it takes... then get to yellin'!!!!

This was a hard one for me too!...Ok..it was a tough toss between the personal hair stylist and the personal trainer....ok I have to say that the personal trainer would have to win...yeah it wouldn't be the most fun thing in the world but weight has been too overdue of a lifelong issue...I know what beautiful hair looks and feel like ...I would like to know what a grand slam body would be like!
