Wassup!!!!

I Love My New Vanity!

I was recently in the market for a new vanity table and I came across this one on a blog site. It's the Malm Dressing Table by IKEA. I purchased it in store for under $200 and must say that it's one of the best investments I've made this year. Check it out...

So, I was at work today, and a co-worker came up to me and said, "Wow, I love your hair. It looks beautiful." Before I could respond with a "Thank you," she asked hecka loud, "Is it all yours?"

I love my natural hair, but...

Don't get me wrong, I love my natural curls, I really do. Sometimes I have to be reminded of how much I love them, like when I suffer from heat damage. Although shrinkage irks me, seeing my once bouncy, springy curls transform into permanently straight, frazzled pieces irks me even more. Yet, as much as I love my curls and encourage others to embrace theirs, I'd be lying if I said there weren't times when rocking my natural drives me crazy...

It's been a minute since I did a length update, and we're only 4 months away from October, a year from when I started. To be honest, I don't think my hair has grown much--okay wait, let me rephrase that. It has grown, but not enough to get me to waist length by year's end. Take a look for yourself...

A Good Hair Day

Okay, so I just wanted to share my "good hair day," with you guys ;-). As I'm sure many of you know, sometimes getting our natural curls to behave in a way that we would like them to does not always come easy. I was therefore so happy to look in the mirror the other day and see my curls looking springy, healthy, and full of life! Plus, they just seemed to fall in place, which isn't a regular occurrence for me...

My Winter Hair Update

If you saw my Protective Phony Pony and "Natural" Makeup post, then you know that I have chosen to use fake ponytails as my protective style for the winter. Since I live in California, my winter experience is obviously not the same as it is for those of you who live on the East Coast, but, I do travel enough to know whether or not my hair care methods work in other parts of the globe.

Hey everyone! Today is my birthday, and I'm so happy to share with you the outfit, hair and makeup look I rocked this past weekend. I celebrated it a bit early, and am thankful to God for allowing me to see another year! I'm also thankful for you guys, because today also marks my third vlogging anniversary.
