Daily Devotion

It took me a looong time to feel comfortable tithing, but now that I'm at a different place in my relationship with the Lord, I have absolutely no issues with handing over my 10% each paycheck. We shouldn't be overly concerned about where the money goes as long as our intentions when giving it is pure (Although, I wouldn't keep giving to a church if I found the pastor to be sheisty :-)). I must attest to the fact that even when money is tight, God has always provided for my needs. I therefore look at it as an investment toward my spot in the Kingdom!

"Honor the LORD with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops; then your barns will be filled to overflowing, and your vats will brim over with new wine." Proverbs 3:9-10 (NIV)

I've got just one thing to say - AMEN!!

When I first started tithing I wasn't really sure about it but God has gotten us out of soooooo many financial jams, that giving 10% is the least I can do. Keep being faithful sis.
