Product Haul
I purchased some hair products last Friday and got two of the usual suspects: Luster's Pink ShortLooks Gel'N and One 'N Only Ceramic Silk Thermal Protection Ironing Crème. Since One 'N Only Ceramic Silk has discontinued some of their products, I figured I'd better grab another tube of their flat iron crème even though I still have some left. I don't want to be left hangin' in the event I can no longer find it on the shelves. In fact, when I picked it up at Sally's, it was the last one they had. Since I don't flat iron my hair as often as I used to, this should last me a while.
I also picked up a new hair oil. Apparently, Target caught on to the fact that my beloved Bronner Bros. is worth more than the $.077 they were once selling it for. Now I can't find it anywhere under $5.00, and although that may not sound like much, it's a lot for me, since I was once getting it for less than $1.00! I therefore opted to purchase a container of Africa's Best Super Gro. My husband uses this oil for his hair, and I didn't have anything to set my last braidout with, so I used it and love it! Here's what my hair looked like when I used it with some water for my braidout:
Although it's not as light as my Bronner Bros. or my coconut oil by Proline, Africa's Best Super Gro is great and smells delicious! It retails at $2.99.
I also bought some more metal-free hair ties and a satin bonnet. I normally tie my hair up in a satin scarf at night, but I figured I should also keep a bonnet on hand in the event I do another roller set or try some type of style that requires me to keep it less confined at night.
