Mud Mask
Yesterday I shared with you the mud mask I purchased at Ulta (For details, see Product Haul). I used to apply mud masks pretty frequently in the past, but haven't done one in a while. I was therefore long overdue for a facial. I decided to try it the other night and loved it! It smelled so good, almost like minty bacon, LOL! I know that sounds crazy, but seriously, that's what it smelled like.
Anyway, I washed my face with my Aveeno Clear Complexion Cleansing Bar, then used a cotton pad to apply some witch hazel in order to remove any residue the soap may have left behind. While my face was still damp, I applied the mud pac.
After allowing the mud pac to process for a good 15 minutes or so, I then washed it off with some warm water. Afterwards, I used some more witch hazel as an astringent, and this is what I looked like with a clean face:

My skin felt so refreshed! It was then time for me to prepare for bed. So, I busted out my tube of 5% Benzoyl Peroxide…

I have blemishes on my cheeks from a breakout I experienced years ago (approx. four years ago to be exact), but they are ten times lighter than they used to be thanks to the Benzoyl Peroxide. Although I don't suffer from breakouts as badly as I used to now that I've gotten my diet in check, I still get zits on my chin when my monthly cycle rolls around. So, a lot of this isn't just treatment -- it's prevention for breakouts to come!
After applying my Benzoyl Peroxide, I then whipped out the Vaseline.

I apply some to my eyelids each night to nourish my eyelashes and hopefully treat and prevent the crow's feet from forming.

All done!

I know it's sad to say this but...I never tried a mask before. I may have too. I didn't know vaseline can prevent crows feet. Thanks for the tip!!
Ooh girl, you gotta try a mask. It'll have your skin feeling so refreshed!
Thanks for showing your skincare reggie step by step! I have the Mud Mask by Queen Helene under my cabinet I need to break it out and start using it! Vaseline on the eyelids is a great tip!
lol "minty bacon"
Your skin care regimens are very similar to mine. I love the Persa- Gel 10 by Clean & Clear because it has 10% Benzoyl Peroxide in it. (B.P is the bizness!) I also use sunscreen with vitamin E ointment (from GNC) or vasoline. Thanks for all the advice but there is one thing I would like to know and that is how do you keep your hair straight after a workout?
Hi i have acne bad and i used neutrogena mask/face wash benezyl peroxide 3.5% and i use a SPF 15 moistrizer all in the morning. It helps a little but I still have a few break outs and a lot of scars. What do you think could be best for scarring??
