Hola!

Hey ladies,

How's everything going? Are you taking good care of your hair, or have many of you fallen off the bandwagon? If the latter applies, just know that it's never too late to get back on track! Holla back and let me know how things are going.

XOXO,

Hi there! It's nice to hear from you again! I just wanted to give you update on my hair. Right now I'm rocking a protective style: crochet braids. I have just hit my 13th month of transitioning and was about to lose my mind. The crochet braids are wonderful and I love them. I literally shake my hair and go in the morning! Of course I am taking care of my hair and scalp as well. Any who I'm glad to hear all is well and your hair looks beautiful. Keep up the good work!

Hey Ms. Harmony! Glad to hear your transition is going well and that you've found a style that will keep you on course. I pray all goes well with the rest of your transition!

PS. Thanks for the compliment :-)

Hey D! Glad you are doing well and your hair is looking great! As for me, the new year has been great. I've remained relaxer free since April 09' and as of January 31,2010 I'm completely natural. I decided to cut the rest of the relaxer off myself. I love it. The length took some adjusting too. LOL but now I have micro braids in. Its been in for two months. I've been taking them down (rotating from front half to back half) washing and conditioning and having it rebraided. I have soooooo much growth just from two months. Its awesome. Also I recently started blogging as well. It definitely helps. Thx for letting me share. And keep up the great work with the blog and beauitful hair. :-)

Hello...Always glad to see a new post. I guess I have fallen off the bandwagen a bit. 16 months natural and my hair has really grown but lately I have been experiencing the worst tangles during washing. So that has to be a sign that I'm not putting the care and time into my washing and deep condotioning routine. I guess it's time for me to go back to the routine which I incorporated during my 10 month trainsitioning period. Back to basics for me.

Your hair really does look heathly and beautiful.

Hi D!

I am so glad to have found you!! I stumbled across you on youtube and then started reading your blog. You are truly an inspiration. I have SL relaxed hair and I am so tired of it. I live in The Bahamas and the humidity does not help my relaxed hair; I am constantly at the beachm and salt water and relaxers dont mix....I usually end up with a head of poofy hair. I am going to stop relaxing my and try to stop using heat on it too. I have tried your bun out and will also try your braid out option to optain waves in my hair and alleviate using my irons. I dont have a problem with breakage or damage so hopefully I can continue to maintain the healthy hair I have. I want to be fully natural but I know it is going to take some time since I am NOT prepared to cut my hair. Keep the blogs entries and videos coming as they are very informative and I truly appreciate them. Toodles for now!!

Hi Dprincess! Swimming class is finally OVER and the first thing smoke'n is my flat iron lol! I have not flat ironed my hair since January, and I am excited to see the growth. I have noticed that when I part certain areas, I see small curls that are really little which I guess, means that's breakage. Is that normal? This is the first time in years that I have worn my hair without weave...I think I have done a descent job managing it. My favorite style was twisting my hair while wet. I let the front middle half of my hair stay out, and put the middle and back portions in a banana clamp to create a mowhawk. It is good to see that everyone is up on there game! :)

I would like to let you know that you have inspired me to try going natural again. I gave up the last time because it got frustrating. I've watched all your youtube videos over the last week and found them very informative, thank you for that. I have created a blog of my own to document the process to help keep me on track and am TOO excited about the coming months. :)

Since the Take Back Your Hair challenge, I have actually been doing better with my hair. Primarily because I did my big chop April 2nd after 15 months of transitioning. I even mentioned you in my first video on youtube lol. I appreciate all your videos and updates. You were my hair inspiration when I first started transitioning! And your blog and videos are so very helpful. Thanks for all you do!
