Big Hair!

Hey divas,

I've been in love with big hair lately. In my video titled "Pregnancy & Hair," I shared how my tresses have gained a lot of thickness thanks to the hormonal shift that took place during my pregnancy. I'm really hoping and praying that I don't lose the extra hair, as is often the case once hormones have returned to their normal levels. Whether or not I'll end up losing my newfound fullness is still yet to be seen, but all I know is that I plan to enjoy it while it lasts.

To accentuate the fullness of my hair, I have been rocking bun outs that I set with Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Lotion. As you can see from the pic above, I don't mind the wild, untamed look, LOL! The best thing about this look is that it is heat free, and provides me with an alternative to wearing my natural curls.

So divas, how have you been rocking your natural tresses lately?

XOXO,

DPrincess28

currently I'm wearing small twists in my hair. Trying to give my hair a little break by wearing some protective styles without weave. Concentrating on getting a healthy routine so my hair will grow longer.

I. am. addicted. to. the. flat iron. I need help :( I feel like as if I'm stuck in this never-ending cycle. I have never had a perm, so the only way to make my hair manageable is to roller set it & hot comb it, or wash it and then flat iron it. I've tried some of your suggestions, but my hair just gets too unruly. Also, my bun outs don't come out as good as yours do (maybe it's b/c I don't use that lotion...) My hair is sort of long. What should I do???

I didn't comment on your last few posts, but congratulations on the birth of your son! A lot of women combat post-partum shedding by continuing to take their prenatal vitamins for at least 6 months after delivery. Good luck!!!

I have been wearing braids sets using Ecco Styler gel with Olive Oil. I am also excited about my rediscovery of Mane and Tail Shampoo and Conditioner. Thickness is an understatement using these products!

I have been doing lots of Twist outs, and coils. Loving that, and recently I've started flat ironing (try to only do this when I need a trim) I am noticing that my hair is so healthy and shiny and growing like a weed. I thought that it was because I'm pregnant which is probably half of it (I'm 4 months). But I think the other part has a lot to do with me keeping heat off of my hair and washing often. I had been transitioning from April 09' to Jan 10' when I finally decided to do a big chop. My hair is almost at my shoulders now. It's totally awesome. I'm loving being natural. :-) Thanks for the motivation!
