I Need a Vitamin B-12 Shot

because I am TIRED! Chile, taking care of a baby ain't no joke! When I first gave birth to my son, folks told me I should try to put him on a schedule as soon as possible. I was like schedule, huh? Well, now I see what they mean, because up until now, I've been allowing him to sleep when he wants and basically do whatever. I now see that having more structure would help me get my life in order. Once I can get the baby and myself on a better schedule, then perhaps I'll have more time to do the things I enjoy doing, like, I dunno, blogging and vlogging. I haven't been able to record a vid or even post anything in a minute because I can't seem to find the time. I do however miss my divas and hope you are all enjoying a fabulous start to the new year. Lets hope to see more of each other in '11!

XOXO,

Girl I had to lol when I read about that vitamin B12. I told my hubby last night I needed some vitamin B because my prenatals just ain't cuttin' it. One of the best things I did was to put my baby on a schedule. I highly recommend the book On Becoming BabyWise by Gary Ezzo. Having my babies on a schedule allows my day to be predictable. Of course you have to be flexible but it is so worth it! I don't have space to say much but it starts with setting a wakeup time. I wanted my baby's wakeup time to be 7:30 am so I wake him up at that time every morning instead of letting him sleep until he wakes up. He eats every three hours so if his wakeup time is consistent, everything else is consistent for the most part. I also don't let him fall asleep while he's eating. I try to keep him up for at least an hour and then he'll sleep and be ready to eat by his next feeding time. Try it! (BTW my baby is almost 4 months old and I have a 22 month old that I did the same thing with)

I can definitely relate. Hopefully you get a routine down it will definitely help. I'm wondering how in the world will I do the same. I have a little less than 3 months until the new baby is here, and worried about how my 4 yr old will handle the changes. Fingers crossed that it goes well. :-)

@Purebeauty: Thanks girl. I envy you because I wish the hubby and I had some relax time in the evenings. After work there is barely time for us to be together as it is, so getting the baby down at a decent hour would help.

@Kina: Thanks girl, I will check it out. 7:30 a.m. sounds like a great start. Congrats to you mama!

@Avillacorta: Good luck mama! You will definitely benefit from getting the babies on a schedule since you'll have two on your hands. I pray you have a safe delivery :-).

I am expecting a new little one in 55 days to be exact and I told myself that I was going to do everything different with this one. I have three other children all whom were not on any type of schedule whatsoever. I like the idea of 7:30 and the routine throughout the day. Hopefully I can pick a routine and stick to it! If not I just may find myself in need of a B12 shot as well. LOL

Baby Wise gave me my life back. Awesome book. My son started Ezzo's techniques when he was eight weeks old and it was very easy for him to fall into great sleep patterns. Like Kina, I highly recommend it to all mommys!
