In my March Beauty Haul, I shared the extensions I purchased and what I planned to do with them. I dyed them red, then had a few tracks sewn in the back for a peek-a-boo effect.

To get my "hot like fire" look, I used this box kit by Creme of Nature:

I then layed the extensions down on a large piece of tin foil, and applied the dye as instructed:

After I completed the dye process, I hung the extensions up to dry overnight:

I also went ahead and dyed a section of my bangs in the same Intensive Red shade: 

The result left much to be desired considering that my natural color is so dark. I would therefore have to do this a few times in order to really lift my natural color.

I actually dyed both the F1B/30 and the 27 extensions. I held the end result up to my face so I could see how they looked against my complexion:

Although I really liked that deep burgundy look on the F1B/30, I messed up and got 12" extensions instead of 14"! The hair was therefore too short and would not have stood out when installed to the underside of my head. So, I went with the bright red shade. Go big, or go home!

Since I know nothing about weaving (and for those of you who have been following me for a while, you know I can't stand to have anything attached to my head for long periods of time), I had a friend sew in a few tracks in the back. She made two braids near the occipital bone, where I normally apply my clip-ins:

She then made a braid a little higher, like above my ears for the third track:

And this is what it looked like right after she finished installing it:

I then flat ironed my hair section by section:

After rocking the straight and wavy look for about a week, I washed the hair and wore it curly:

Unfortunately, the hair only looked good when wet. Once dry, it looked a hot mess! I think it's because it couldn't stand the curl activator gel I had to use in order to get my curls to act right. So, I took this mess out after just two weeks. Womp, womp. I still had fun with the look though. I'll probably make clip-ins out of the leftover hair and just clip in some pieces when I feel the need for change.
