This recession has a lot of people reevaluating their financial situation. I know I've definitely been thinking of ways to make and save money. It's funny because God wants us to be financially responsible too. There are several instances in the Bible where money is discussed. The following Bible verse spoke to me because when some people are placed in a difficult financial situation, it can cause them to take desperate measures to gain the money they seek. You even hear about an increase in crime when the nation is in a recession, for some are willing to rob, cheat, and steal to survive. However, God wants us to not panic, for there is no reward in thievery.
"Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow." Proverbs 13:11 (NIV)
