Videos vs. Picture Tutorials

Hey Divas,

I have a question. What would you rather see, makeup tutorials in video or picture format? I find both to be helpful, as I've visited other blogs and mimicked the looks I saw in pictures. Yet, I do realize that actually seeing it played out on video can help tremendously -- especially if the look featured is a complicated one. I just wanted to get your thoughts on this, as some of you have asked me to do tutorials even after I've posted pictures. Thus, if there are any looks you'd like to see me do a video on, please let me know and I'll try to grant your request.

XOXO,

DPrincess28

I enjoy both. The eyebrow trimming tutorial was a great combination! The picture enhances what we could not see in the video.

Hey Dprincess!

I like a combination of both video and pics. When you post up close pics of the results from the video it helps to see a better shot of the look. Thanks for posting the eyebrow tutorial it’s very helpful!!

Video Tutorials are my favorite because they help guide you through exactly what to do when you are starting out.

I am a visual learner and while I can pretty much mimick anything I see on a picture when it comes to makeup, specially eyeshadow, I need to see it played out. I love to see what beautifull effects can be made with makeup and seeing it in video would be very kind of you. Thank you.

Video tutorials are very helpful it shows you how and exactly where to put it and what brush would be better to achieve the look.

I feel both are helpful, while the videos give a better outlook on how to accomplish the look, the pics shows the finish product. So i say keep both, or which is easier for you.

Thank you ladies for the feedback! It sounds like both are helpful. I think my next makeup tutorial will be a video since I haven't done one in a minute. Thanks again! XOXO

Although I am a visual learner, I enjoy both, but like one of the fellow diva's said it's nice to see it in video to get the exact technique and which brushes are the best to use.

I vote for video, but I appreciate both especially those close ups...in fact just this weekend I did your twist tutorial...and guess what finally success!...I used the Bronner Bros world of curls and some good ol mouse since the humidity is a trip in the south!...So please continue what you are doing it is helping!

great question...i agree with the other ladies that both are great. if its video, i like when ppl cut out the extra stuff or put it on double time - like the excessive blending. i'd rather not watch 2 minutes of that! LOL.
