The 28 Neutral Palette Sucks!
As many of you know, I recently purchased the 28 Neutral palette from Ebay. Although mine was shipped from a company in Hong Kong, this is the same 28 Neutral palette Coastal Scents carries. This palette received a lot of rave reviews on the Coastal Scents website, but I recall one negative review that was submitted by a professional makeup artist. The artist stated that contrary to what many of the other reviewers had to say, this palette was not of great quality and therefore a poor option for brides on their special day. I must say that I concur!
Below are two looks I created using the 28 Neutral palette:
#1. Pinkberry
I call this look Pinkberry, because I created it using some of the pinks and deep berry color in the palette.

#2. Smokey Eye
I tried to create a smokey eye using the browns and black in the palette, but as you can see, it didn't even come out as good as the Kim Kardashian Inspired Smokey Eye look I created using my L.A. Colors and drug store palettes!

The color payoff of this palette is atrocious! I even attempted to create looks using a white base (I used NYX's jumbo eye pencil in Milk) to intensify the colors, but they still weren't vibrant. A lot of the colors came out looking chalky. Perhaps this palette works better with lighter complexions, but for me, it just isn't happenin'!
Anyone wanna buy it for $2.00? LOL!

wow...that's sad to hear, i'm still considering ordering this but I definintely have enough neutrals. Is it the color payoff, texture or just everything. Maybe put it off to the side and revisit it and hopefully you'll find 25% of the colors useful.
