MICAbella Cosmetics

Last weekend I was introduced to MICAbella cosmetics when I was accosted by a sales rep at a kiosk inside the mall. Believe me, this sales rep knew exactly what she was doing when she approached me because I've always been a sucker for a deal, so even though makeup wasn't even on my list of things to buy, she made me an offer…and I couldn't refuse!

According to the claims, MICAbella cosmetics are different than any other because they are made of 100% pure mica and minerals, which supposedly work well with the natural oils in one's skin to provide a flawless application. The cool thing about the eye shadow pigments I purchased, as explained to me by the sales rep, is that they are multi-functional. By that I mean you can use them as an eye shadow, an eyeliner (just add water), blush, or a lip shade (just add Vaseline). I purchased the following three pigments:

  • Earth
  • Mocha
  • Tango
Here are a few swatches (left to right: Tango, Mocha, Earth).

I wore Earth and Mocha to church last Sunday for a neutral look, and this is what it looked like:

In addition to using it as a base on my lids, I blended some of the Earth pigment with Vaseline to create this light gloss:

I don't know if I'll purchase any items from them in the future, as I'm still playing around with the colors I have. I am however loving the vibrancy of the pigments and the versatility is truly remarkable.
