Product Review: Hask Suddenly Straight

Two months ago I did a semi-review of a new product I purchased called Suddenly Straight by Hask Pure Shine (To view post, click here: Hask Suddenly Straight: A Semi-Review). I finally had a chance to do a true review, that is test it out as a heat protectant prior to flat ironing, and this was the result:

Although I air dried with the Suddenly Straight and sprayed my hair with my Megasilk Olive Heat Protection Spray, my hair came out frizzy, as if I had only blow dried, and not flat ironed it. Even after moisturizing with my Bronner Brothers Moisturizing Hair Lotion for a few nights, my hair remained frizzy, unable to absorb any moisture. It was as if the Suddenly Straight created an impermeable barrier, much like my hair felt when I tried the Infusium 23 Leave-in Treatment. It wasn't until I applied some of my tried and true moisturizer--the ultra rich and creamy Olive Oil Moisturizing Hair Lotion by Organic Root Stimulator--that I was able to get some shine and control back in my hair:

A bun out that was set with ORS Olive Oil lotion.

Needless to say, this product did NOT work well for me as a heat protectant. Although it performed well as a heat protectant on already flat ironed hair when I wanted to add some spiral curls with a curling iron, as explained in my post titled " Hask Suddenly Straight: A Semi-Review," I will not be purchasing this product again.

Your hair looks great in this picture. Can't wait till I get that length. I'm currently just past my shoulders.
