My Little Prince's First Cornrows!
If you saw the Update on My Little Prince's Regimen, then you know that my son's hair has grown quite a bit. I've been wanting to get his hair braided into cornrows for a while now, but was holding off because for one, I can't do cornrows and two, I felt he was too young to sit still while someone else did it. Well apparently, grandma has the magic touch, for not only did she succeed at getting all his hair braided (the first time she tried, she only got one in, which made for an unbalanced mohawk :-)), but he even fell asleep while she was doing it!
Now, to keep it real, she said he did fuss a little bit while she detangled his hair, but once the kinks had been worked out, he seemed to find the slight pulling quite comforting. Anyway, as you can see, the braids aren't perfectly neat, because again, he's not quite at the point where you can do a thorough job, but she still got the job done. Check it out:

I love his hair, and can't wait to see what it will look like once he's a little older and we can give his braids a more polished look. In the meantime, I'm going to continue to ask grandma to hook him up, because this will definitely save me from styling his hair on the daily. And, by the looks of things, he doesn't seem to mind:
