NYE Look 2012
Happy New Year Everyone! I hope you enjoyed ringing in the new year last night. I know I did ;-). NYE gives us ladies an opportunity to get extra glam, so I went all out last night! If you'd like to see my entire look from head to toe, step inside...
The Makeup
I shared the makeup look I was going for in my post titled Two Eyes for NYE 2012.... I went with the "Glitter & Smoke" look as planned, but decided to tweak the formula a bit. Here's a list of the products I used:
- Too Faced Shadow Insurance eye shadow primer (Applied all over lid--not shown)
- Jumbo eye shadow pencil in Milk by NYX (applied this all over lid to ensure the hot pink glitter popped)
- Icing glitter cream eye shadow in hot pink (Applied this on top of the Milk)
- Glitter Stack by Icing (Applied some of the hot pink glitter on top of the cream eye shadow for a more intense look)
- Meet Matte dark brown eye shadow by The Balm (Applied to outer v and the crease--not shown)
- Dark brown (far right above) eye shadow in Darling pallet by LA Colors (Applied above the crease)
- Ice Queen by Ulta (Applied to inner corner of lid)
- Sparkly pink eye shadow from the Smashbox Trio (Applied to brow bone as a highlight)
I lined the upper lids with black liquid liner and applied a black pencil liner to lower lids. I then added a few coats of mascara to my lower lashes and one coat to my upper lashes before applying Glamour falsies in E15 by Ardell. This was the finished look:
- Pur Mineral 4-in-1 powder foundation in Deeper
- Pro Longwear Concealer in NC45 by MAC (as highlight)
- Arena Satin eye shadow by MAC (as highlight)
- Dark brown eye shadow (same color used above crease on eyes was used to contour the sides of my nose)
- Translucent Prep & Prime Finishing Powder by MAC
- Heather Silk powder blush by Wet n Wild

The Hair
Here's a quick video on how I styled my hair:Products/Tools used:
- Remington T-Studio Pearl Ceramic Heated Clip Hair Setter
- Revlon curling iron
- Bobby pins
- Straight Edges Edging Gel by Silk Elements
- Pump it Up Gold Styling Spritz by Bronner Brothers

The Nails
- Forget Now by Sinful Colors
- Silver Glitter nail polish by L.A. Girl
I have my hair done, nails done, everything did...now, time for the fit!
The Clothes
As previously mentioned in my Two Eyes for NYE 2012... post, I purchased a shimmery, hot pink sweater dress from HMS:
I realized I don't have any "evening" jackets, so I raced to the mall and got lucky! I found a black, faux fur coat for $18.00. I put that on and some sparkly, pink pumps by Candies (The same ones I wore for NYE 2010), et voila!
I had a great NYE celebration. Out with the old, in with the new! Here's to making 2013 one of the best years ever!
Deuces 2012! |
